Samsung TriFold

Reviews are starting to trickle out and it looks crazy impressive. Reportedly thinner than a Fold 5 when both devices are folded up.

I'm not sure I'm a fan of the U shaped design. Still, having a pocketable 10" tablet is amazing.

It looks to be no thicker than my Fold 6. Impressive. But, I use my pen all the time and the few things I use my surface for can't be replaced by an android tablet, no matter how big it is unfolded.

I am very satisfied with my current equipment and can see using it for the next few years without upgrading. The hardware manufacturers won't be able to rely on me for their profitably

Im wondering what the folding Iphone will be like? Now, about that AI bubble in the stock market.

It’s Black Friday Week, What Did/Are You Getting?

I wonder when it will be Black Friday month? 😝

I pulled my OG Xreal Air display glasses out of the cupboard the other day (it was nReal when I got it) along with the first-batch Beam accessory. The latter took an entire day charging the old battery and then I got framerate stuttering in-game even though it was wired, not wireless. It was smooth without the Beam attached but no 3dof (three degrees of freedom).

So, aside from minor stuff from my wish list that I had saved for a good sale, I took a chance on a Viture XR Pro pair of display glasses to replace the aged Xreals. They arrive tomorrow. They’re last generation but the newer ones aren’t that much of an upgrade IMO (and plastic instead of alloy; lots of Redditors with frame cracking). Amazon has a “like new” used option for only $200…

Viture sent a replacement cable that arrived today. Good customer service. Unfortunately, these things are worse than my current Xreal display glasses to my eyes. Maybe the person who previously returned them without the cable also screwed them up somehow? They just don’t focus. And the software is really janky.

tl;dr they are packed up and ready to be returned to Amazon on Monday. I will not be revisiting these types of devices anytime soon.

Wacom making moves

For a company that would put out so few products, and take forever to update them, it seemed like they were on the verge on going irrelevant, Wacom seems to be making a lot of moves lately faster then they ever did in the past. It was just a few months ago they released the Movink Pad, and now they are releasing a more performance focused Movink Pad Pro 14.

I recently got a hands on with the 11" Movink Pad, and while interesting, it was hard to justify it over the Samsung Tab S11 given that has way more bells and whistles, of which this newer 14-inch model seems to have. Although I am digging their price points, which are shockingly affordable compared to Samsungs Tab series.

They also released a 14-inch Wacom One for like $300. Its like every time I look Wacom is putting out a…

There's also a lot of Dell Canvas' sold on ebay, for some surprising prices. Obviously buyer beware given their condition, but might be worth the gamble.

Amazon announces new Kindle Scribe lineup

Three devices:

Feels about right, though I hope that there's a neutral colour option for the $630 Colorsoft version. Mainstream unit is $500, and a unit without a front light is the entry-level at $430.
