Living the Two Device Life
UPDATED:
Here I sit with my two device solution (M1 Max MBP 14 32gb/1tb and M1 iPP 11 1tb in etended display mode) bemoaning why can't I have a single device solution. This last weekend's perusal of Best Buy specials left me even more frutrated.
1. Surface Pro 11 just won't work with my (HP LaserJet MFP 428) or my Canon ImageFormula R40 scanner - no longer true - the HP can be made to work with WOA per a trusted local IT expert AND he's sure there are ScanSnap models that do work with the SP11 (1600?)
2. M4 iPad Pro, while beautiful piece of kit, is still only an iPad
3. Samsung Book4 Pro 360 2-in-1 offers pen support, but at 16" is just too large AND uses the plagued Meteor Lake
4. LG Gram 17 is an excellent 17" ultralite (2.98#) with 32gb/2tb for $1199 but no touch no pen
5. Lenovo YogaBook 9i - two AMOLED screens with external keyboard, touch, and pen...Surface Neo's big brother?
Everything is a compromise, and none have the power of my three year old MBP 14, nor any better pen experience than the equally old M1 ipad Pro. All are captives of Copilot and M$ data mining...so I need to just use my own two screen computer (thank you Apple for SIdecar) and get used to my two device life.

Trifolds are on the horizon. Your phone will turn into a 10” tablet.
