Mid sized foldable tablet wish list
Okay, Bronsky's post about the Fold 6 has me dreaming again. We've got all these foldable phones now that open to the size of a kindle or "mini" sized tablet. And we've got two giant "laptop" foldables that go from 12" laptops to giant things when opened.
I want the in-between. I want a Neo but with a single display. I want the original thinkpad Fold but with better guts. Why did companies abandon that middle size - a "mini" or paperback book sized fold that opens to a regular sized 14" or so screen? Is it because it's too small to be a laptop when folded? It should be treated like a book when folded and a slate style tablet when opened. Just like a Surface, if you want to prop it up and type, you're going to need a table and that's okay. The keyboard should fold too. If you're going to carry the width of a full keyboard, you may as well carry a full unfolded screen, so abandon the idea of a laptop and just carry something the size of a paperback.
Samsung- make a me a Fold Ultra please. I would like to be able to fold my Tab S9 Ultra in half and still use the spen on both the inside and an outside display.
While I'm dreaming, let's just make that outer display eInk.
What are you all dreaming of? I know we've got one vote for a macpad. Anyone else on team medium fold with me?

I've had Pixels for the past several years now. They're fine for what they are. I like the overall lack of bloatware more than anything else. My main concern with migrating to Samsung is how Samsung-y they make things and how difficult that will be to undo.
I agree on the e-ink probably. There's a few manufacturers who aren't Chinese that might eventually make something. But honestly it's mostly just a dream. The problem is, most are using e-ink as extreme minimalist and don't do full Android. My family almost exclusively communicates through Slack, and I use Spotify and Notion quite a bit on my phone, so I need those things minimum, and they're not going to be on a minimalist phone.
