One UI 7 and Android 15 updates - AI AI Oh?
Both my Fold 5 and Tab Ultra 9 have updated to one UI 7 and android 15. So far, some icons are different, the drop downs are different, and the app tray scrolls vertically instead of sideways.
It told me about a bunch of AI stuff I could do now after the install, but none of them seem like things I'd want to do. Is this Samsung just throwing AI at the wall to see what sticks, or do people actually use it for stuff?

I can't get into everything but I had to mention it made me feel despair that there wasn't more outrage over how they eliminated the corner swipe for Gemini, with pretty much everything else being for Bixby. I found that to be the perfect relationship between the two services.
I actually hate taking screenshots or using screen recorder with the drop down menu or power/volume button, I used to always use voice commands with Bixby for that. Gemini can take screenshots but it's slower, and it can't use screen recorder at all for some reason. It's just really cringe waiting for Gemini to tap into my other services whenever I ask it to schedule something for me on my (Samsung) calender, or to set a reminder.
Do not like it at all. Gemini was supposed to be for asking questions, and Bixby was supposed to be for issuing commands. Really hope they bring it back when UI8 comes out next month.
I've made up my mind long ago on how stupid this is btw, but if you want to offer a rationale for this, I'd really invite you. Something besides "Well Gosh, I just don't like Bixby," because I think the inferiority of what we have now is about as objective as you can get. Well, I guess there are some people out there who just could not swipe from the corner, and I did just realize that it might have been far easier for me because I was doing all this on a Fold and Tab Ultra. I'm not sure if the corner swipe always felt awkward, or people did it by accident a lot on a candybar phone, but I doubt it, and think it was probably fine.
No idea why they did it...
