Smart charging can't be disabled on the Surface Pro X
Remember how much we love the smart charging implementation on Surface devices? /s Turns out on the SPX it's even worse: it simply cannot be disabled. So if you keep your SPX at a desk most of the time, and you need to leave on an extended trip, you'll be starting that trip at 80% battery level. W..T...F...!!! Tell me I'm misunderstanding this.

Got it, same text, different outcome. Actually it might be that the algorithm is fairly conservative, as in "if the user takes the device off the charger frequently, don't activate smart charging". So far mine hasn't kicked in, and as I'm typing this I'm at 19% so I'll be able to charge to 100%. Still odd that different models have different rules, but I'm glad I haven't been stuck on 80% yet.
