Judge Rules Against Apple in the Epic Lawsuit

Isn’t it the number one rule in a court to not piss off the judge? She was rather displeased to find that Apple blatantly lied to the court. Effective immediately, Apple can no longer charge the 30% fee for purchases outside an app.

This should apply to Play Store Android apps as well, I think, since Google was part of the suit too, even though nobody talks about that.

The Kindle app now allows “Get book” in the iOS/iPadOS app. It takes you to the Amazon page for buying it. That was quick. And it’s about time. In this particular, I am happy Apple lost.

Hmm, I guess this is old news? The video was an hour old as I posted and he says it happened “today”, but the quotes shown are a month old.

ABSOLUTELY RULE #! - never piss off the judge, especially TWICE because she already busted their chops the first go round when they “opened” to third party stores but had dozens of requirements and restrictions. Guess it’s the lawyer in me, but whether your a corporate “government” or public “government” you DO NOT IGNORE court rulings, right, wrong, or indifferent.
