I pretty much agree with you. AI has helped me to develop a few things a little faster, and solve a few problems quicker. I'm sure there's thousands of developers who can say the same. But even then, there's not trillions of dollars worth of savings. Especially when AI only can answer the problems we've already put in it. As our technology grows and changes, as new frameworks are developed, or even just new and better versions, AI has to be retrained to keep up with the data, just like developers do, so more energy consumption, more billions spent to enhance productivity that will not repay the dividends.
