Zenbook Duo 14 (2025)

Well, I finally got a new laptop to replace my Galaxy Book 10.6, although it may soldier on yet as a fourth device...

Here she is all set up.

The good:

  • The two screens really are handy.

  • Vertical mode is great. I'm using it more than portrait.

  • Fantastic displays (we'll see about burn-in).

  • The keyboard/trackpad feels good and I've found to be useful for presentations (allowing me to have full control remotely).

  • Performance has been enough for my use cases so far. I've get to try some gaming.

  • The window management software is good.

  • It's quite compact.

Things that aren't so great are:

  • Battery life (5 hours with to screens and 80% battery protection).

  • Screen glare

  • The displays aren't particularly bright.

  • It's quite thick in laptop mode.

  • MPP

  • Non-ISO enter key on an ISO keyboard (ASUS love doing this).

  • The speakers in dual screen mode (they are downward firing - Lenovo did it better).

  • Only opening to 180ยฐ (again, Lenovo's design is better in that regard).

I'll post more when I've used it more.

So someone I work with has been very jealous and despite the price, is very interested in getting one.

So far, it has been going great. Having two displays really is a boon, and I've found the detachable keyboard very useful, even if it does slide around a lot on smooth surfaces.

MPP is still bad (though I'd forgotten the short detection range as well), the battery life is not great (it can be as bad as six hours), Windows can still sometimes fail to go into sleep, and not being able to rotate it 180 degrees is annoying.
