Anyone else doing 3D CAD/modeling?
Finally broke down and bought a (used) 3D Connexion Space Navigator (compact).
Worked perfectly w/ OpenSCAD by just plugging it in, apparently it will work well w/:
(which worked well enough w/ my stylus/trackpad that I was able to complete the tutorial, but which will require installing the driver to use the Space Navigator w/ it)

Yes, MoI will work with your stylus. I initially liked this feature, but as time went on it fell out of favor with me. The problem was that the mouse is a superbly refined pointing device, capable of extremely fine positioning. This is because you can brace both the mouse and the heel of your hand simultaneously against the desktop or mousing surface, allowing fine motor control movements. By contrast, the stylus is gripped in your hand but the nib is distanced from your fingers and is also "far" away from the heel of your hand, assuming that you're able to rest your hand on the screen at all. By comparison, fine motor control is significantly less satisfactory.
MoI works as advertised, but I was somewhat frustrated by the relative lack of fine stylus control... In that regard, YMMV...
