Itâs Black Friday Week, What Did/Are You Getting?

I pulled my OG Xreal Air display glasses out of the cupboard the other day (it was nReal when I got it) along with the first-batch Beam accessory. The latter took an entire day charging the old battery and then I got framerate stuttering in-game even though it was wired, not wireless. It was smooth without the Beam attached but no 3dof (three degrees of freedom).

So, aside from minor stuff from my wish list that I had saved for a good sale, I took a chance on a Viture XR Pro pair of display glasses to replace the aged Xreals. They arrive tomorrow. Theyâre last generation but the newer ones arenât that much of an upgrade IMO (and plastic instead of alloy; lots of Redditors with frame cracking). Amazon has a âlike newâ used option for only $200 as opposed to new at a bit under $300. Original retail was $550, I think.
Anyway, not a huge purchase. What did the rest of you get, if anything?
Viture sent a replacement cable that arrived today. Good customer service. Unfortunately, these things are worse than my current Xreal display glasses to my eyes. Maybe the person who previously returned them without the cable also screwed them up somehow? They just donât focus. And the software is really janky.
tl;dr they are packed up and ready to be returned to Amazon on Monday. I will not be revisiting these types of devices anytime soon.
